Potential Email Scam Targeting Students

We have been informed of a possible email scam targeting student email addresses. Please ensure that your child knows to NOT REPLY if he/she receives an email like the one below:

From: OCSB Student Help <ocsbstudenthelpline@gmail.com>

Date: Thu, Apr 16, 2020 at 7:50 PM

Subject: Urgent Notice

To:

Hello,

In order for us to keep your account open please reply to this email with a new password you would like us to use for your student account. Failure to do so by May 1, 2020 will result in a temporary lock on your account! We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience during this stressful time!

If your child does receive an email like this, they should mark it as spam or delete it.

If your child has already replied to an email like this, please have them contact a teacher to ask them to reset the password.
